Hello everyone! I've nearly finished editing and sorting out all of my photos. I'm not sure how to get them to everyone since collectively they're 1,157mb. How is everyone else sending photos about? I have Katie's and Hale's (I nabbed them from your lj) but I want everybody's so that I can choose the best to get printed, and because I'm greedy.

Love (and miss) you all,

Kin

Guys, I'm so happy for us! We rock. Uh... I typed up that list of the things we did each day that Sarah and I kept track of, I mean it's mostly little things to remember and probably a lot of it you don't really care about (like Sarah's remembering of every hot guy we saw...^_^) But if you want it it's under this cut So yeah, enjoy!

Ok everyone, I need you guys to give me the ok to let Shelia go ahead and purchace our Eurorail passes. It's.... I think like $300 or so, but I'll get the final cost from her when I call. She has our credit card info, and as long as I give her the ok, she'll buy our passes (which will cover the transportation between France to Switzerland, Switzerland to Germany, Amsterdam, and in Germany, I believe) and send us the info in the mail. We need to get together sometime after the show to discuss buying our plane tickets for Dublin to Paris and Berlin to London, booking our hostels for day 18, 19, and 20 in England, and...yeah, I think that's it.

darren, did you call and book all your stuff with Shelia yet? Did you email her? I found her number, it's around here somewhere, if you need it, and I told her to expect to hear from you.

That's all for now, sorry I haven't been on top of this stuff lately, the show has taken over my life.
Ta!

Hey guys! I know it might be a little soon for thinking about backpacks & stuff (or if you already have gear) but we should probably start looking around for backpacks. I know L.L.Bean is a really good company (I've had a backpack from them that's lasted like 7 years, and I'm not gentle) and I was looking at some of their stuff on this site: http://www.llbean.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/CategoryDisplay?page=weekend-expedition-packs&categoryId=9199&cat4=1098&storeId=1&catalogId=1&langId=-1&feat=ssdpa1098 although it is a bit expensive for those of us who are only going to use them once. But whatever, just putting that out there.

So yes. That was as far as we got. For the English folks who want to meet us in Ireland, this would work out really well, because it's only about 17 euros for the flight from cork to gatwick, only a few for the bus to luton, and then only about 21 pounds for the flight from luton to paris. It's a whole day of traveling, but it saves us alot of time and money in the long run...

Who is meeting us in Ireland? If the English boys (all 3? 2? 1?) meet us the day we arrive in Ireland, that'd be fun, and wouldn't put them out too much money (we're only spending one day there so we can hit dublin on the way back for a day and not have to go back and forth from one side of ireland to the other trying to reach airports)

Input?
And yes. Americans, everyone be sure you can go with me to the card place.

OH! European people! You have to get these!! http://www.istc.org/sisp/index.htm?fx=istc_info
Even if you're not a student (Matt, darren, Kinders, Thom?, Hale/Svjena?), you can still get an 'under 26' card which works the same way. And if you don't have a passport...GOTTA GET ONE!

So what does everyone think?

Ahoy maties. If we get an Aer Lingus flight straight from Cork to Paris on Sunday 9th we can do so for £60-odd ($110-odd). Cheap! It also means we English-folk won't have to fork out to come to Ireland twice only to come back to England when you return to America. And, of course, it means no billying about on English trains (which are awful and awful expensive, too). So that's my suggestion!

greetings & salutations!

i made this community [even though rew said she was going to- sorry, rew, but isn't it pretty?] so that we have a place to post interesting & important information about our trip to europe. right now our conundrum is how the hell do we cheaply get from ireland to france? kinders says take a plane & nick says ferries. both seem pretty expensive to me. the next few years of our lives are going to be poor ones...money-wise, that is :p

anyway! this is just a sort of "welcome" post. so...welcome :)
